Job Title:
Training Consultant
Primary Purpose:
To train teachers, school and district administrators on the effective use
and application of the Epic Learning System. To support and promote Epic
products and services to schools.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred)
- Valid Teacher Certificate
Experience:
- Must have classroom teaching experience (secondary experience preferred)
- Must have experience in staff development (technology training experience preferred)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Skills in formulating ideas and communicating effectively
- Able to use a variety of computer applications including Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of effective classroom management and instructional techniques
- Knowledge of effective adult learning strategies
- Ability to “read” an audience and adjust instruction/pace/depth accordingly
- Skill in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating effective professional development for professional and administrative staff.
Responsibilities:
- Use emerging technology platforms to deliver product training/staff development.
- Plan, organize, and conduct on-site presentations at school/district locations.
- Evaluate training sessions for effectiveness.
- Provide site reports within 24 hours of completion of training session.
- Communicate needs/concerns of teachers and administrators to Epic Learning Implementation team.
- Articulate to teachers/administrators the vision and goals of Epic Learning System.
- Attend/participate in on-going training for Epic Learning System trainers/consultants.
- Promote high expectations for students and staff.
- Provide follow-up activities to facilitate implementation of Epic Learning Curriculum Solution.
Working Conditions:
- Frequent travel.
- Ability to work with people from various backgrounds
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Other Requirements:
- Must own laptop computer
- Ability to cover travel expenses prior to reimbursement
- Presentation projector desirable
